Shadows House synopsis: The Shadows House is an enigmatic family known for their dark, pitch-black appearances, and their peculiar tendency to emit soot when disturbed. They reside in a sprawling manor nestled deep within remote mountains, isolated from the rest of humanity. When a Shadow child nears adulthood, they are assigned a Living Doll, who serves not only as their attendant but also as their counterpart, reflecting the face they might have had if not for their dusky complexion. Emilico is a cheerful, recently created Doll assigned to the soft-spoken Kate. Despite their contrasting personalities, Emilico diligently tends to her master's needs. As she delves deeper into her role and responsibilities, Emilico begins to interact with her fellow Dolls and their respective masters, gradually uncovering the purpose of her existence. One of the guiding rules all Dolls must adhere to is "Do not fret over trivial matters." However, Emilico's insatiable curiosity makes it challenging to abide by this principle, particularly when she confronts the profound mysteries concealed within the Shadows House.
